What will become of your inside body?

Discussing what happens when you die on the car ride home from mums today. I ask, "what happens to your body when you die?"
Jensen: " well, your outside body just sits there."
Me: "what happens to your inside body? Is that what goes to Heaven to be an angel when God calls your name?"
Jensen : "the good ones do"
Me: what about the others?"
Jensen: "well, the inside body of the naughty people become Daleks"

Weaning.

Day 2 of no breast feeds. It's kinda sad. She didn't even ask today. I thought this was going to be harder than this. Kinda hoping it would be harder. My baby doesn't need me as much any more :'( so sad. We made 18 months though. It is where I wanted to end our journey, but now it's over, I just want to cry. What makes it worse is knowing there will probably not be baby #3 in the house. The other day was probably the very last breastfeed ever. Damnit- now I AM crying.

Weaning

So, the decision was made, and not lightly on my part, to wean Eden. Quite frankly, I would have been happy to keep going until she was ready to give up herself (like Jensen did at 15 months, cold turkey, when we moved house). As we're moving next month, I was hoping then she would give it up too.

I recently had uni prac. It finished last week, it went for 2 weeks. 1 week of AM shifts - starting at 6:30, then a week of PM shifts finishing at 11 (though the facilitator had us finishing at 9, so I was home  by 930 at the latest). I also had to work. I worked the weekend, then had the week of AM's. Then a weekend off, then the week of PM's and then the weekend on. Exhausting.

Anyway, so Eden didn't see me in the mornings, but I got to pick her up and take her home. She normally got an afternoon feed, then a bedtime one as well.  The afternoon one wasn't a big one, so more like a snack. The with the PM shifts, bedtime is 6pm, so she wasn't getting a breastfeed and she wont take a bottle, so Andrew just put her to bed with out anything. She adapted well. The weekend on she woke, so I'd give her a feed and be back to normal. But Monday came round and I thought, 'lets see if we can do this'. So, this week Monday and Tuesday night, Andrew has put her to bed by himself, without her having a breastfeed. I have also put a stop to the nap feed during the day. Wednesday night, I put her to bed without a breastfeed. She does ask, but I just say 'no'. She takes the answer ok, but the hand still goes down my top. Must be a comfort thing.  Day naps seemed to be the easiest to drop, perhaps because when she was at daycare for 2 weeks and just got used to it?

I'm not in a hurry to cut breakfast feeds, and it's not a big feed, just a snack, just for comfort.

It's sad that it's ending, but good for everyone, as she's able to go to sleep without me.

Now, let's see how this all goes when we move in 4-6 weeks! (And the move is a whole other blog post!)

Eden made it through today with a 2 min nap in the car all day. Wow. Surprisingly well behaved! Bed at 6 as normal :)
